Under the general supervision of the Manager, Applications and Processes, the DevOps Engineer will develop and support enhancements to DevOps processes for enterprise software as well as stand-alone solutions in support of Delta Flight Products engineering and operations.
  • Develop and maintain Agile CI/CD pipelines for IFE Software Development and testing
  • Maintain integrity of build environments and lab configurations
  • Coordinate with IT department to facilitate deployment of new technologies for IFE team
  • Support IFE software team with unit level requirements-based testing

What you need to succeed (minimum qualifications)

  • Bachelor in Computer Science, Engineering, or Information Systems.  Equivalent experience may be substituted.
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience working in a DevOps capacity.
  • Experienced in deployment of Ubuntu and Android based CI/CD pipelines using BitBucket, Ansible, Vagrant, Gradle, and similar tools
  • Experienced in SAFe Agile development and JIRA or similar tools
  • Experienced in release management processes and configuration management
  • Experienced in design reviews, requirements management, code reviews, unit testing
  • Able to maintain clear and concise documentation
  • Where permitted by applicable law, must have received or be willing to receive the COVID-19 vaccine by date of hire to be considered for U.S.-based job, if not currently employed by Delta Air Lines, Inc.

  • Code review tools
  • Testing – Junit and similar for Java/Android development
  • Message Queue Protocols – RabbitMQ, ZeroMQ, etc
