How you'll help us Keep Climbing (overview & key responsibilities)

The Program Manager - Enterprise Applications will be responsible to work closely with the DMS Internal teams such as Sales, Procurement, Repair, Inventory, Asset Monetization, Operations, Quality, Accounting and Delta IT to support the delivery of SAP functionalities required for Aviation parts trading business. This includes new functions development, Enhancements and Defect fix in an existing SAP ECC / SAP EWM system and support business users in achieving Business targets and Goals. 

The successful candidate will be a self-starter, needing minimal inputs/guidance with several years of experience in implementing large Aviation Part Sales, Repairs, Procurement, Inventory, Supply Chain, and complex warehouse operations. The selected candidate should demonstrate initiative and be able to innovate in a fast-paced organization where priorities shift frequently. This position will be based in Atlanta and will report to Director – Enterprise applications within the DMS IT organization. 

Responsibilities and Duties:
  • Be a single point of contact taking full ownership to support DMS Business teams to use SAP ECC modules such as Sales and Distribution, Procurement, Sub-Contracting, Inventory Management, Cycle Count, SAP EWM Inbound receiving, Quality inspection, Work Center, Putway, EWM outbound Waves, Outbound Picking, Packing, Quality Inspection and Goods Issue process
  • Be a subject matter expert in developing and documenting Aviation Parts trading business requirements in Procurement, Repairs, Sales, Brokering, Consignment, Pricing, Exchanges, Invoice & Warranty process
  • Responsible in supporting the SAP Intercompany sale process between DMS and Delta Air Lines
  • Responsible in monitoring ECC/EWM inbound & Outbound queue and work with DMS Business teams and the Delta SAP team to resolve queue issues in a timely manner
  • Identify gaps within the EWM Inbound and Outbound process and develop the required functions to increase productivity and efficiency for the Warehouse Operations team
  • Responsible for developing back log items for any SAP / EWM issues encountered during regular business and work with the SAP development team to deliver fixes
  • Support the Part Harvest tool and SAP Integrations for the Aircraft and Engine harvest process, including the dropship function for outside repair 
  • Develop functions and system processes for the Consignment with DMS being the Consignee and Consignor
  • Develop and Implement integrations between Salesforce and SAP ECC modules for Inventory, Pricing, Orders, Shipment, and the repair request process
  • Analyze the root cause for various system integration errors and work with Delta IT to deliver a permanent fix; Work with DMS user champions to streamline data and processes to minimize integration errors
  • Contribute to improving existing business processes, systems & applications 
  • Be creative in providing quick and effective solutions to achieve timely delivery of goods and services to Delta and 3rd party customers
  • Develop functions, process flows, business test scenario, test cases, and training documents for new enhancements
  • Develop trouble shooting guides for frequently experienced system and process issues, and train user champions to use the guides to resolve issues independently
  • Actively engage in all stages of the Software Development Life Cycle and be an integral part of change management to help business users adopt applications
  • Prepare test data and perform Functional and System testing for enhancements, Integrations, and report developments
  • Perform data consistency checks and plan for corrective and preventive actions
  • Take initiative to recommend process improvements and demonstrate creative thinking
  • Manage and nurture an excellent working relationship with selected 3rd party service providers
  • Communicate in a clear, compelling manner to Technical and Non-Technical team members. 
  • Perform other duties as assigned by DMS Director or designee

What you need to succeed (minimum qualifications)

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems or an equivalent major is required
  • 10 years of related supply chain professional work experience in SAP ERP
  • 4 years of related SAP EWM application experience for a complex warehouse management operation
  • Strong knowledge in SAP modules such as Sales and Distribution, Procurement, Good Receipt, Goods Return, Repair order (Sub-Contracting), Batch Managed inventory, Consignment, Invoice, Cycle Count and Warranty
  • Strong knowledge in SAP EWM Inbound, Outbound, and Internal processes
  • Working knowledge of commercial aviation processes required
  • Should be highly collaborative with the ability to work well and interact with various departments throughout the organization and its parent organizations.
  • Good experience in designing process using Microsoft Visio and advanced knowledge in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
  • Must be able to accomplish tasks in a timely manner producing high quality deliverables
  • Must exhibit a high level of confidentiality with work product
