The DMS Salesforce Program Manager will be responsible to own and manage the Salesforce.com program for Delta Material Services (DMS). The Program Manager will work closely with various teams within DMS, Delta TechOps, Delta IT, Delta Salesforce COE, Delta SAP COE to manage the requirements, configuration of Salesforce.com and in alignment to meet and support the various commercial and operational processes. This includes necessary Salesforce system functionality development/configurations, automation, documentation of requirements and processes. Be the liaison between the business teams and various technology teams in DMS and Delta to manage the backlog and delivery of the functionality using the agile methodology. 

The successful candidate should demonstrate initiative and be able to innovate in a fast-paced organization where priorities shift frequently. This position will be based in Atlanta and report to DMS Director – Enterprise Applications.
  • Manage the overall Salesforce.com program for Delta Material Services (DMS)
  • Be the single point of contact taking full ownership of the DMS and MRO Services Salesforce instances to leverage the platform to deliver functionality required for the business. 
  • Perform administrator functions such as managing users, profiles, roles, permissions, rules, and queues, data backup.
  • Configure Salesforce platform including development of custom pages & lightning components to enhance user experience in sales, service and community portal.
  • Manage and customize dashboards, reports, templates, page layouts workflows, create and maintain custom object relationships, formulas, standard and custom fields. 
  • Have a deep understanding of Salesforce data structures and understand how to leverage the tool to meet complex process, workflow automation and reporting requirements. 
  • Managing and resolving support requests related to Salesforce functions and integrations.
  • Work closely with users to provide best practices and tips on Salesforce usage including training, documentation and support as necessary. 
  • Interface with business users and other Delta IT staff including Salesforce COE, SAP COE and be responsible for delivering and deploying complete work products. 
  • Translate business requirements into manageable deliverables.
  • Coordinate and manage projects related to Salesforce including integrations with SAP, BI, external applications, custom applications in the DMS IT and MRO Services eco-system.
  • Monitor Integration errors between Salesforce, SAP, and other internal and external systems and take corrective / preventive actions.
  • Produce and improve overall documentation related to configuration and deployment of applications.
  • Take initiative to recommend process improvements and demonstrate creative thinking. 
  • Manage and nurture excellent working relationships with selected 3rd party service providers. 
  • Stay current on the latest industry trends and changing technologies 
  • Communicate in a clear, compelling manner to technical, and non-technical team members.
  • Performs other duties as assigned by DMS Director or designee.

What you need to succeed (minimum qualifications)

  • Excellent knowledge, skills and necessary certifications in Salesforce.com - Sales, Service, Community products and platform 
  • Nine (9) or more years of related professional work experience
  • Should be highly collaborative with ability to work well and interact with various departments throughout the organization & parent organization.
  • Must be able to accomplish tasks in a timely manner producing high quality deliverables.
  • Must have exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
  • Must exhibit a high level of confidentiality with work product.
  • Adequate knowledge in using process flow tool (Visio), MS excel, MS Access
  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems or equivalent is required. 
  • Working knowledge of the commercial aviation process is preferred.
