Delta Vacations is seeking a self-motivated Sr. Program Manager reporting directly to the Human Resources Manager - Talent Management.

As a contributing member to the Human Resources Headquarters team, you will be responsible for creating, managing, facilitating, and implementing acquisition - training and leadership development programs, Diversity Equity & Inclusion programs in support of Delta Vacations’ organizational effectiveness. Also responsible for building and maintaining strategic relationships that enhance the connection to the Delta Vacations employee proposition.

The position will interact with all departments across the company, agency partners, customers, and Delta Air Lines colleagues. The individual who takes this position must embrace diversity of people, perspectives, and styles.

What Else Will You Be Doing? (ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS)

  • Works directly with HR Manager to develop specific components of Delta Vacations’ employees and leadership development platform including performance management systems, talent reviews, succession planning and learning programs.
  • Design, evolve, and deliver professional effective learning programs and documentation for all levels of employees and leaders, to include classroom trainings, workbooks, job aids, quick reference guides, webinars, videos, and eLearning.
  • Identify skill or knowledge gaps among employee and leader population to identify training needs and develop training content and/or plans in response to identified development needs.
  • Evaluate the results of delivered learning programs by measuring employee understanding of the subject matter and implement efficiencies as needed.
  • Drive compliance with all corporate and departmental policies/procedures and applicable governmental regulations.
  • Develop communication and training materials, facilitate presentations in support of leadership development, Diversity, Equity & Inclusion Council, and other HR initiatives.
  • Generate, analyze, maintain, and distribute reports and documentation pertaining to assigned responsibilities.
  • Establish and maintain an archive of HR related documentation and communication materials.
  • Serve as a liaison for Delta Business Resource Groups; works with identified contacts at Delta Airlines and promote BRGs to Delta Vacations employees.
  • Partner with Delta Talent teams to develop and manage succession planning and other employee development programs scaled to Delta Vacations needs.
  • Partner effectively with leaders on matters related to employee relations, Delta Vacation policy and accepted employment best practices.
  • Represent Delta Vacations at corporate functions.
  • Regularly evaluates processes and make recommendations to improve efficiency.
  • Domestic or international travel to fulfill assigned responsibilities.
  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

What you need to succeed (minimum qualifications)


  • Bachelor’s degree from four-year college or university; or equivalent work experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience required.
  • Five years human resources experience required. (Preferably in learning and development, instructional design, or Talent Development.)
  • Experience with Instructional Design Systems. (Articulate, Brainshark or other instructional design tools.)
  • Must demonstrate excellent writing, editing and presentation and public speaking skills.
  • High school diploma or general education degree required.
  • Strong skills in instructional design and implementation of learning programs and documentation.
  • Strong project management skills to plan and execute projects from start to finish required.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills and the ability to communicate and build relationships at all levels of the organization.
  • Strong PC skills including MS Word, PowerPoint, Publisher, Outlook required.
  • Strong business acumen and the ability to quickly identify organizational issues and challenges. 
  • Must have the ability to work independently and possess strong decision-making, workload management, analytical and organizational skills.
  • Ability to effectively facilitate employee discussions and conduct learning sessions and workshops.
  • Ability to identify gaps, collect data, establish facts, draw conclusions, and solve problems in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Ability to prioritize and successfully manage multiple projects/deadlines simultaneously.
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion. 
  • Must feel comfortable and be flexible, proactive, resourceful, and efficient in a fast-paced work environment.
  • Where permitted by applicable law, must have received or be willing to receive the COVID-19 vaccine by date of hire to be considered for U.S.-based job, if not currently employed by Delta Air Lines, Inc.

Education in Human Resources Management or certification will be a plus.
Knowledge of human resources best practices.
Travel industry experience. 
Knowledge of Delta Vacations’ or Delta programs, policies, procedures, and systems.
Working knowledge of HRIS systems preferred.
MS Teams, Forms and Publisher.
