Delta Air Lines' Finance Division is seeking a dynamic and strategic individual with proven leadership, communications, and analytical skills to lead as the General Manager of Capital Markets.

The General Manager will handle liability management strategies including aircraft finance, debt issuance, refinancing, and restructuring. They will work with investment banks, international commercial banks and leasing companies to structure, document, and administer long-term debt and lease agreements. This position will report directly to the Director, Capital Markets and will be located at the G.O. in Atlanta. 

Key areas of responsibility include:


  • Identify and implement aircraft financing strategies and opportunities
  • Leads a team of 1-2 analysts on strategic and tactical projects
  • Negotiates major financing contracts with financial institutions and suppliers
  • Strategizes on ways to lower non-operating expense within the confines of available cash
  • Treasury liaison to other Delta departments and business units

What you need to succeed (minimum qualifications)

  • Embraces diverse people, thinking and styles

  • Must have High School diploma, GED or High School Equivalency
  • 3-5 years in a related position with experience managing institutional debt, syndicated credit facilities, and or aircraft/structured finance projects
    Knowledge/experience with accounting concepts is required
  • Strong leadership, decision making and organizational skills
  • Financial modeling experience and capabilities
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, including Microsoft Office suite
  • Ability to perform effectively in a high stress, goal oriented environment
  • Should be able to multi-task, lead cross functional teams, work well under pressure and meet deadlines
  • Develops both strategic and tactical plans that create a safety-conscious environment resulting in employee safety and well-being
  • (If transferring internally) Must be performing satisfactorily in current position.


What will give you a competitive edge (preferred qualifications)

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, or Engineering or related discipline preferred
  • MBA or Master's degree preferred
